CA "Characteristic" Assault Weapon Definition
The following definitions apply to terms used in the identification of assault weapons pursuant to Penal Code section 12276.1:
California Definition Of Assault Weapon
When using the MMG on your "Off List" Rifle, do not have any banned features (a - f) on your rifle. Keep your rifle 30 inches or longer and have a minimum barrel length of 16 inches.
The MMG will not take a unregistered Category 1 & 2 "listed" firearm out of assault weapon status. If it is listed, nothing you can do can make it CA legal again.

In California, this is the law as to what qualifies as a "Pistol Grip" on a rifle.
"A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon."
ATTENTION OTHER STATES:
The MMG grip may help you with your local laws as well. I am not familiar with all the other state laws for me to be able to 100% recommend my grip to you. Please look into your local laws and go with what you feel is legally safe to do.
